900 METERS OF POSSIBILITIES FOR OVERTAKING

The foot resting above the accelerator, jittering, the smell of gasoline hanging in the air and adrenaline pumping through your veins. You are sitting a few centimeters above the ground, waiting for the start signal and maximum speeds at 80 km/h. The red light is still on but in a few seconds the entire area of go-karts will roar and hiss – and the race will begin! Have you tried driving our karts outside? In that case, you are very familiar with the scenario above. If not, then let us tell you why it is hours of fun you will not want to miss.

When you and your group arrive, you will be registered and receive instructions about the racetrack and its conditions. The reason being the fact that there is more to go-karting than the interaction between the brake and the accelerator. It is a game of tactics that can be won by utilizing the track strategically and by being smart in the right places.

There are plenty of straight stretches for speed and a total of 14 turns that are taken as sharply as possible if you want to overtake – or defend your leading position. For example, the Nascar turn is a crucial one, as it rises from the inner to the outer track and tilts with a full 2 meters!

Once you’ve received instructions, it’s time to change into the race driver’s uniform. You can actually arrive and depart from the great outdoor experience in your own clothes (which is convenient if you have other plans the same day), but during the race, you’ll be wearing a suit and helmet – which we, of course, provide. After changing, it’s off to the track where the real action starts! The intense track invites you to push your boundaries – and we guarantee that you’ll both shout loudly and laugh heartily behind the transparent visor as meters are gained and lost in each lap

PUT YOUR OPPONENTS IN THEIR PLACE!

We all want to know who amongst family, friends, and colleagues is the fastest in a go-kart. For example, who does not want the opportunity to put their boss in their place during a company trip or give a lesson in karting to a boasting friend? Those are exactly the things you can do in outdoor go-karting.

Leave your friends in the dust in a friendly competition where the ability to control the fun, fast kart and take the fastest laps grants access to the top spot on the podium.

Once you’ve stood there – with a head’s length or more ahead of numbers two and three – you’ll forever have the bragging rights when it comes to everything involving speed and gasoline.

With a central location in Jutland, our track is particularly suitable for both private and corporate events from the surrounding cities of Billund, Vejle, Kolding, Esbjerg, Herning, Vejen, Aarhus, and Odense – but guests from across the country are, of course, welcome to come and race our outdoor go-karts.

BEST OUTDOOR TRACK IN DENMARK?

We have utilized our many years of experience in the go-kart industry to create the ultimate outdoor go-kart track.

It spans 900 meters of pure challenge with a total of 14 turns, providing ample opportunities for overtaking. One of the things that make the track unique is the Nascar turn, ascending from the inner to the outer track, creating a slope of a full 2 meters. Before reaching the Nascar turn, you must navigate through a turn where the track drops by 120 cm. This has the same effect as driving over a small hill on the highway at high speed, but remember that you’re only a few centimeters above the ground, intensifying the experience significantly.

RENTAL GOKARTS FOR EVERYONE
– IN ALL KINDS OF WEATHER

As the only track in Denmark, we have a complete set of rental karts for dry weather and another set for rainy conditions. This means that we can quickly switch in the pit if weather conditions change during your event. We offer rentals of Denmark’s fastest rental karts, as our engines on the dry weather karts are tuned from the standard 9 horsepower to approximately 13 horsepower. The karts are throttled to a lower level for individuals under 18 years old without experience at Vandel Gokart.

The kart fleet at Vandel Go-kart includes

  • 20 dry weather karts with weight balancing and lap timers on the steering wheel
  • 20 wet weather karts with weight balancing and rain tires

Up to 20 karts can be driven simultaneously on the track.

LAP TIMERS AND WEIGHT BALANCES

 

Our mission is to deliver quality experiences, and in our view, the ultimate karting experience involves speed, thrill, and intense competition for everyone. We achieve this by ensuring consistent performance in the karts, providing the option for weight balancing, and utilizing advanced lap timing – making the competition so much more enjoyable!

In addition to the lap timer as part of our ‘Karting Experience’ concept, we also have a weight-balancing system on our karts. With this, we can ensure that all participants weigh the same, as this significantly impacts competitiveness.

The weights can be positioned forward or backward in the weight frame to influence oversteer and understeer, according to the driver’s driving style.

We are happy to guide you in placing your weights to optimize kart performance to suit your preferences. With our system, we can balance weight differences of up to 30 kg between drivers.e.

Live information directly on the steering wheel

Avoid scoreboards that can be challenging to read while driving and may distract your attention from the race. At Vandel Go-kart, our dry weather karts feature lap timers on the steering wheel. For example, see your live position on the display, your lap times, and the difference between your times. The lap timer is particularly useful during qualification when the field is spread out. Overall, the lap timer enhances the race experience, providing you with a fantastic racing feeling.

Le mans

The classic French endurance race where you take turns driving the kart. It's a race format many Danes have triumphed in, with Tom Kristensen, also known as "Mr. Le Mans," being the most famous with his 9 victories.

You can choose the duration of the race, but the price and maximum number of drivers per go-kart increase with the number of hours you select.

We recommend adding our 12-minute training/qualifying package before the Le Mans start.

After the race, teams are separated, ensuring individual results and a prize ceremony exclusively for your team members.

For groups of 8–14 people, an exclusive track experience is possible by paying an additional fee of 100 DKK per participant, guaranteeing track closure to other teams.

THE SERVICE PACKAGE

These are always standard services at Vandel Go-kart, and there are no additional charges. It falls under what we consider good service.

For hygiene reasons, it is mandatory to use a helmet liner, which we sell for 25 DKK. If you have your own helmet liner or helmet, you are welcome to use it.

DRESSING FOR KARTING

At Vandel Go-kart, we provide suits, gloves, and helmets for both dry and wet weather. However, it’s a good idea to dress according to the conditions.

For dry weather, practical clothing is essential. In cooler weather, we recommend wearing multiple layers so you can adjust your clothing as needed. A thick winter jacket is not ideal as it restricts mobility under the suit. Casual shoes work well for footwear.

If there’s rain in the forecast, it’s advisable to bring rain pants to wear under our rain suits, ensuring you stay dry throughout the event. Footwear can be casual shoes or, ideally, rubber boots.
